The November Portion of Capital One’s Care 4 The Square Program
Looking for ways to give back to your community this Veterans’ Day? Drop off your old and damaged cell phones to Capital One’s (843 Broadway) Cell Phones for Soldiers drive. The organization exchanges the phones and used parts for international phone cards to send overseas to US soldiers.
Take the opportunity to hit the open streets of New York as Citi Summer Streets comes to Union Square for the first three Saturdays of August.
Visitors and locals of all ages and abilities are invited to play, run, walk and bike along Park Avenue, Union Square East and Fourth Avenue from 7 AM to 1 PM on August 6th, 13th and 20th. End your ride in Union Square with a trip to the Greenmarket located on the North Plaza and Union Square West, and further explore the neighborhood with our free walking tour at 2 PM, starting at the Abraham Lincoln Statue on the 16th Street Transverse. Thursday, June 16th we kicked off our #USQSummer series, Summer in the Square, offering free morning and evening fitness, morning and afternoon kids events, and lunch and evening entertainment in Union Square Park.

We met Rocky the Chinchilla with Art Farm, put a kid inside a bubble with the Gazillion Bubble Show, danced the plaza away with Pon De Flo cardio, and had our breath taken away by the Peridance Contemporary Dance Company. This Thursday, June 23rd, we’re ecstatic to welcome a special marionette performance of Puss in Boots, Yoga Unplugged, the New School Jazz Trio over lunch and more.
