#USQBlooms This Spring With USP District Investments

Neighborhood Investments Keep Union Square Busy, Vibrant

Tulips don’t just pop up in the neighborhood overnight. While it may seem like Union Square gets a spring cleaning in the blink of an eye, the Union Square Partnership invests in the neighborhood’s beautification all season long to keep our community blooming, bright and beautiful. Here are the projects you’ll see unfold this spring.

Learn more about our spring social media contest below!

Clean Team Extended Hours, Additional Staff

Your favorite winter warriors are transitioning from clearing snow to prepping the district for spring, and maintaining the neighborhood’s cleanliness all summer long. With higher foot traffic in the warmer months, USP invests in a larger clean team presence with longer hours to keep the district clean.

New Trash Receptacles

Serving over 345,000 people daily, our trash receptacles suffer from annual wear and tear. Each spring, USP invests in new dynasty trash receptacles to replace those that are worn down or damaged.

Spring Planters + Flower Baskets

Over the spring and summer, the USP Landscaping Team heads out to the district to keep 90 planters, including 9 flower baskets on light poles, full of fresh blooms to provide greenery for all to enjoy in our urban jungle. Find our planters along 17th Street, in the Broadway Pedestrian Plaza, and throughout Union Square Park’s plazas and walkways.

Park Landscaping

In addition to our planters, USP invests in seasonal plantings in Union Square Park’s most popular walkways and around our monuments to keep the park blooming all season long.

New Bistro Tables + Chairs

We’re here to keep your outdoor lunch game strong. Get out of the office and into the park and our pedestrian plaza to enjoy new bistro tables and chairs all season long. Find a spot to sit and relax on the main lawn, in the Continue reading
