The name gives a nod to Paragon’s New York City heritage as a family owned and operated and innovative specialty store since 1908.

โ€We felt that there was a void in the marketplace for the consumer experience while shopping for both technical and lifestyle product,” said Bruce Blank, CEO and President of Paragon Sports. “Dept. 1908 fills that void by offering an authentic NYC shopping experience through unmatched selection and on point expertise. Our Athletic, Outdoor and Casual Footwear departments have been brought together in an exciting new space while maintaining the specialty feel and staying true to the Paragon brand. โ€
