Where To Shop: Union Square Holiday Market

Open Daily Through Christmas Eve

With over 100+ artisan shops to choose from, you can easily become overwhelmed by the options at the Union Square Holiday Market by Urbanspace. Since we’ve been shopping the market just about every day since it’s opened, enjoy our tips for the top spots to shop. (And if we missed your favorite, tag #USQHoliday on social media and let us know!)

First Stop: Info Booth (Booth A64)

Why tackle a maze without a map? Enter the market near the 14th Street and Union Square West subway station and you’ll find the Urbanspace info booth, equipped with market maps and the Union Square Holiday Guide. The market map details vendors locations, while the guide includes market hours and deals to nearby eateries for post-shopping bites.

Parks Pride: NYC Parks Department (A65)

Our favorite booth (can you blame us?) let’s you take home a piece of Union Square. Snag an infamous Union Square Park squirrel stuffed animal, GrowNYC’s The Bronx Greenmarket Hot Sauce, or even a Union Square Park sign.

Crafting: Children’s Museum of the Arts Booth For Kids! (D28)

Discover arts and crafts for kids at the Children’s Museum of the Arts where museum teachers will help kids create and learn in the market’s Gingerbread House for the perfect shopping break.

Glove Heaven: ItalianLeatherGloves.com (A3)

If you ever wanted to see a website come to life, now’s your chance. Browse hundreds of fine Italian leather gloves in all sizes, colors and styles, usually only available online.

Au Natural: Beekman’s Copa Soaps (A7)

Besides the delicious aromas and promises of smooth hands, we have to give it up to Beekman’s for creativity: their business card is wrapped around a mini bar of soap! If you can’t decide on a scent, medley packs are available.

Pet Paradise: Sabyloo (A73)

Can’t find some gear to rep your favorite dog breed? Sabyloo has over 80 breeds adorably etched onto its socks, plus a few cats in the mix!

FOOD BREAK: Sigmund’s Pretzels (D17)

Pretzels and shopping go hand in hand. Try a gourmet pretzel from Sigmund’s like Gruyere Paprika, or go for a classic, plain or salted. All flavors perfect for sharing…even though you won’t want to.

Greeting Cards: Black Lamb Bk (450)

For truly one-of-a-kind holiday cards, pick from one of Rachele’s drawings, sketches and photos turned into a paper art greeting card. All cards are created by hand in Brooklyn.

Affordable Designs: We See Stars (A19)

We love the quirky and affordable jewelry options at We See Stars like leather painted studs, druzy pendants, bangles and more. All jewelry is handmade in Brooklyn.

FOOD BREAK: Bar Suzette Creperie & Bistro  (D27)

Perfect for walking and eating, satisfy your savory or sweet tooth with Bar Suzette’s crepes like apples and brie or four cheese.

Amenities: Warming + Tables

While you eat, head over toward the George Washington statue for tables and warmers.
