The Renovated Restaurant Reopens on Sep. 13
While it’s one of many restaurants lighting up Union Square’s culinary scene this fall, Blue Water Grill stands out with its creative take on unleashing its renovated space.
Washing away usual signs of construction with the open sea, BR Guest used ocean waves wallpaper marked with words Blue Water Grill guests associate with the restaurant (fresh, thoughtful, original, breathtaking) to cover the building windows while they worked.
Prior to reopening next week on Tuesday, September 13, the Union Square staple is celebrating the past 20 unforgettable years in Union Square with stories from the community written on the ocean walls. Read the heartwarming #BWGMemories (we’ve already melted at four of the love stories) which will stay up until opening day, and share your stories on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #BWGMemories. You can event submit your own to be featured by emailing BWGmoments@BRGuestsInc.com.
“Blue Water Grill is not only a Union Square destination, but also a dear friend and huge supporter of the Union Square neighborhood. From participating in our fall fundraiser, Harvest in the Square, for the past two decades to power lunches to hosting our neighborhood holiday bash, some of our best (and most delicious) memories are with Blue Water Grill. We can’t wait for the reopening, and the next 20 years as a community partner!” – Jennifer Falk, Executive Director, Union Square Partnership
We’d share our favorites up now, but what fun is that? Head down to 16th Street and Union Square West and see for yourself.
Our favorite #BWGMemories are from Harvest in the Square (our annual food + wine festival raising vital funds for Union Square Park) where Blue Water Grill has been a constant supporter and exhibitor since the beginning. Come meet new executive chef Chris Meenan at this year’s event on Thursday, September 22nd.
BR Guest is a proud support of Harvest in the Square
