This month, Capital One opened its newest branch in Union Square that introduces a different kind of banking experience. The flagship consists of a three-story store space at the corner of Broadway and 14th Street that offers study areas, a community meeting space, a full-service Peet’s Coffee shop, and extended hours (M-F 9 AM – 8 PM) in addition to traditional banking services. The space features state-of-the-art technology, including beautiful new LED-displays which extend throughout two floors, phone charging ports, and advanced ATM machines.

To celebrate the opening of the new flagship, Capital One executives broke bread with community leaders from Hot Bread Kitchen, the Union Square Partnership, and GOLES.

At its opening, Capital One demonstrated their commitment to strengthening our community with generous donations to the Union Square Partnership, the affordable housing advocacy group Good Old Lower East Side (GOLES), and social-enterprise organization Hot Bread Kitchen (visit their tent at the Union Square Greenmarket!).

“Union Square is an iconic location. The heart of NYC tech – we’re looking at it. The beautiful diversity of New York City comes to life here,” Capital One’s Kostas Koutsagelos said. “We look forward to what’s possible in this neighborhood, reaching the 35 million who pass through this subway station annually.”
