Spring Plantings + Clean Team Brighten Up The Neighborhood

To get Union Square Park in bloom, our landscaping landscaping team is hard at work to brighten the planters, walkways and pedestrian plazas with hundreds of new tulips, pansies and other colorful perennials.

You’ll also see the landscaping team working to get the Park ready for this summer’s full slate of activities by clearing, weeding, planting and mulching. And, to ensure the lawn is picnic-ready, they’re also aerating the lawn and seeding new grass.

Springtime also marks the expansion of the USP Clean Team’s daily schedule to meet the demands the neighborhood’s popularity places on the streetscape during the warmer months.  The Clean Team will be out in force from Monday to Wednesday from 6AM to 9PM, Thursday to Friday from 6 AM to 11 PM, Saturday from 7 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday from 7 AM to 9 PM. Over the next few weeks, the USP Clean Team will clean and touch up our green bistro tables and chairs that dot our popular seating areas — just in time for outdoor lunch breaks to start up again.

We work hard to keep our streets clean; look out for our guys in green, all summer long.
