It’s your last chance to walk through GrowNYC’s Project Farmhouse Arch Installation in the Union Square Greenmarket! The Arch, made from hundreds of repurposed tubes, heralds the arrival of Project Farmhouse, GrowNYC’s new sustainability and education center that seeks to further the organization’s goal of making the city a “greener and more livable space,” according to Marcel Van Ooyen, GrowNYC’s Executive Director.

Slated to open in spring 2016 near Union Square, Project Farmhouse will be a (gorgeous) community space for cooking demonstrations, classes, workshops and lectures on topics like gardening, farming and environmental education.

Visitors can get up close to the Arch this Friday and Saturday (11/20 and 11/21) from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the Greenmarket, which is located on Union Square Park’s North and West Plazas. Those who donate to help make Project Farmhouse a reality will be entered to win prizes such as tote bags and gift certificates to JetBlue.
