Union Square’s world famous holiday market, operated by UrbanSpace, returns to the park’s South Plaza on Thursday, November 19th and runs through Thursday, December 24th with an updated look, new vendors, and special performances. Twenty new vendors join the holiday market this season and you can visit UrbanSpace’s website for updates.
This year’s holiday market will debut UrbanSpace Provisions, a section featuring vendors with packaged pantry goods, funky kitchenware, and spice of life supplies such as stationary and books. And thanks to a partnership with the Children’s Museum of the Arts, a life-sized gingerbread house will host free children’s activities. Two new performance stages – one along the West Side Plaza and the other on the North Plaza in front of The Pavilion on Greenmarket days, will feature family-friendly entertainment, such as choirs and independent performers during market hours.
Don’t forget to stop by the Holiday Market Information Booth and pick up USP’s new Union Square Holiday Guide, which includes a list of our favorite neighborhood shops with gifts for everyone on your list, as well as deals to nearby eateries where you can warm up and take a break.
