Following its successful first year, The Pavilion restaurant reopened for the 2015 season in Union Square Park’s North Plaza. The restaurant invites patrons to dine on world-class lunch and dinner options using local, Greenmarket ingredients, created by Chef Mario Urgiles.
The restaurant continues its commitment to the Union Square community, using local ingredients on their menu and continuing to invest in the neighborhood. In 2014, The Union Square Partnership and The Pavilion jointly created 24 weeks of free family-friendly programming as part of Tuesdays @ The Pavilion. The restaurant also hosted a special “Salute Our Veterans” luncheon at the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System last Memorial Day. In its first year, The Pavilion’s receipts generated some $300,000 for vital City services. Community programming will continue this year, with a generous opening-day donation being made to Graham Windham, a child welfare agency.
Delicious, seasonal dining options feature organic kale Caesar salad, tuna steak nicoise, beef Carpaccio, and duck confit. Favorite Union Square-themed cocktails, such as the 6 Train, The Pavilion ’75, and the Market Whiskey Sour are also making a comeback. See the full menu here.
The Pavilion is currently open daily with lunch being served from 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM and dinner between 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM. Due to the restaurant’s popularity, it is recommended that you place a reservation in advance on The Pavilion website or by calling (212) 677 7818.
