This month, the Union Square Cafe and Whole Foods are both celebrating anniversaries as long-standing staples of the Union Square neighborhood. Union Square Cafe and Chef Carmen Quagliata will commemorate their 30th anniversary with a year-long celebration, launching four seasonal dinners throughout the year that highlight favorite dishes from the past three decades. See the full list of 30 Years of USC events here.  Also this month, Whole Foods will celebrate their 10th Anniversary in Union Square. The store opened in March of 2005 and has become one of the busiest stores in the country.  See the specials they will be running all month long here. Both Union Square Cafe and Whole Foods will join USP this fall for an anniversary of our own, the 20th Anniversary of Harvest in the Square, the annual food and wine celebration in support of Union Square Park. Proceeds from the event help fund a seasonal gardener and playground associate, as well landscaping, maintenance, and playground improvements. We’re excited to celebrate these anniversaries with our community partners that represent decades of progress in Union Square. Congratulations!
