All About that Bass – Meghan Trainor at Irving Plaza

mc-meghan-trainor-allentown-fair-20150316This past Sunday, Meghan Trainor played at Irving Plaza in Union Square as part of her headlining tour. This Sunday’s show was the second time Ms. Trainor has played to a sold-out crowd at Irving Plaza in three days. The New York Times reviewed the show and commended Ms. Trainor’s use of contrast. “Its bedrock is doo-wop, the slickly sweet harmony pop of the 1950s that at the time was masking intense desire, but in the rear view sounds angelic,” the review stated. Her debut album, “Title”, was released in January and has since had two runaway hits – “All About That Bass” and “Lips are Movin’.”
