This is not your typical pizza joint. Located on the ground floor of 15 Union Square West, Pizza Vinoteca has just opened their beautiful restaurant serving freshly grilled pizzas and food-friendly wine. Pizzas ranging in price from $8-$14 include the Cheese with fontina, provolone, ricotta and blue cheeses, the Shrimp with green zucchini, yellow squash, tomato, capers and lemon and the Tarte Flambee with crème fraîche, fromage blanc, bacon and onions. There are also a variety of bright salads such as Burrata and Beets and a mouthwatering dessert menu witha variety of Bombolonis, Tuscan-style doughnuts served warm and Gelato Paninis, hand held sundaes wrapped in vanilla cake served warm. 36 sommelier-selected wines, all of which are under $10 per glass, are dispensed using an enomatic machine. Additionally, they carry a collection of barrel-aged cocktails, local craft beers, and all natural sodas made in-house.

Ordering is made fun with each person in the party selecting items from the menu on a tablet. One tablet is designated as the lead, and selections for the table are compiled on each screen. The upstairs dining room features a skylight set against the original Tiffany & Co. headquarter showroom molding. Combining delicious pizza with great wines, affordable prices and technology makes Pizza Vinoteca an excellent addition to all the great Union Square restaurants!
