Today in the Union Square Greenmarket, join Seeds of Change as they launch their grant program. There will be an interactive booth set up from 10 AM – 4 PM that features a photo booth and a vending machine where you can tweets for organic seeds. See below for details and make sure you stop by the Greenmarket and #PledgeToPlant!

Who: Seeds of Change® makes organically grown seeds and nutritious organic foods.

Why: This year, the company is making $190,000 available for community and school gardens in the form of two $20,000 grants and fifteen $10,000 grants. These funds will be awarded to programs that demonstrate their ability to enhance the environmental, economic, and social well-being of gardens, farms, farmers and communities. In addition, Seeds of Change is also awarding fifty individuals with prizes valued at $550 to help start a garden in their own backyard if they share their passion for healthy, sustainably grown food and make a “Pledge to Plant” on social media.

What: We would greatly appreciate your support in helping us to promote the launch of the 2014 Seeds of Change® Grant Program via social media. Also attached is a Grant Program handout that can be circulated to your stakeholders as well as a press release announcing the launch.

When/Where: To celebrate the grant launch in NYC, Seeds of Change® set up an interactive booth at the Union Square Greenmarket on March 7th and 8th from 10am – 4pm that we invite you to visit. It will feature a photo booth where people can tell the company how they Pledge To Plant this year as well as a vending machine where visitors can tweet for free seeds.
