Get Sweaty for a Cause! Sweaty Saturday is Tomorrow, February 22nd

This year, Sweaty Saturday™ is happening tomorrow, February 22, 2014. New York City’s finest fitness studios, health brands and wellness experts will be devoting the day entirely to fitness, health and wellness!  Several of Union Square area fitness facilities will be offering special classes and energetic music, in addition to nutritional advice, goodies, raffles and giveaways. See a full list of neighborhood participants below.

In addition to getting fit, you’ll be giving back!  A portion of the proceeds from Sweaty Saturday™ will go to Partnership for Healthier America,  which is devoted to working with the private sector to ensure the health of our nation’s youth by solving the childhood obesity crisis.

Neighborhood participants:

BRICK New York (257 West 17th Street)

BRICK is offering two Sweaty Saturday classes. If you have not tried a B|X class yet, now’s your chance. This 60-minute conditioning class mixes high-intensity intervals and hardcore conditioning and is one of Brick’s most efficient total body workouts. The program consists of CrossFit-inspired movements designed for building strength while shredding fat.

Sweaty Saturday Schedule: 9:45am – B|X with Ben Sweeney 12:30pm – B|X with Erica Giovinazzo

CityRow (80 5th Avenue, Suite 1501)

The newly opened CityRow is joining the Sweaty Saturday festivities this year. Now’s your chance to try their signature class and sweat for a cause!

Flex Studios (47 West 14th Street, 2nd Floor)

Flex will be offering it’s Flex90 class – 30 mins of each TRX, Barre, and Pilates – for Sweaty Saturday. The perfect way to sweat it out this Sweaty Saturday!

Flywheel (39 West 21st Street)

Get Sweaty at Flywheel this Sweaty Saturday. All Flywheel NYC locations will be dedicating prime time 9:30AM Flywheel classes to Sweaty Saturday!

Kinected (151 West 19th Street, 2nd Floor)

In a mid-Saturday slump, get rejuvenated with our Sweaty Saturday Class. Emphasizing core strength as well as the major joints in your body, this 60-min class will incorporate a variety of props including weights, therabands, and physioballs. Improve your strength and stamina, all the while toning your arms and legs

The newest entrant to NY’s indoor cycling scene joins Sweaty Saturday!

Yoga Vida (99 University Place at 12th Street, 6th floor)

Yoga Vida will be donating proceeds from two of it’s classes on Sweaty Saturday: 11:30AM and 2:30 PM!
