This Sunday, Earth Day will return to Union Square. Besides all the eco-friendly fun, there is also a chance for you to get rid of old clothing and get some flashy new stuff in Union Square at the Earth Day Clothing Swap Party hosted by Closet Dash. This isn’t just any old clothing. Each item will be checked for quality, and once it’s approved, the swapper will receive a ticket for each item to use as currency. “Once someone brought in a Givenchy vintage suit,” Jennifer Lee, founder of Closet Dash, told DNAinfo.
The swap party will be held at 15th Street and Union Square West. Registration begins at 1 p.m. and the swapping begins at 2 p.m. Participants are asked to arrive early for drop-off.
