At long last, Ichabod’s is now open for dinner. Located at East 15th Street and Irving Place, the restaurant expects to be open for other meals, including brunch, later this spring.  The menu (found below), offers seasonal American fare and is brought to you by chef Matthew Etchemendy.  The new restaurant abuts the new Headless Horseman bar, and both venues are the creation of Eric Sherman and Brian Krawitz. As you may have guessed, these new neighborhood businesses get their names from Washington Irving’s famous short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and are located on a street named for the famous writer – Irving Place. Ichabod’s is styled with reclaimed barn wood, evoking an upstate farm, with wooden ceiling beams and exposed brick walls. The space was previously the Galaxy Global Eatery.
