With over 70 gyms, studios, and fitness apparel retailers, Union Square is ideal for getting you to tackle your goals this year. Along with the long list of boutique gyms and studios (below), retailers are also getting into the game. On lower Fifth Avenue, Athleta and Lululemon have opened up brand new workout spaces. Athleta’s new subterranean space features free fitness programming all month. Not to be outdone, Lululemon’s new massive location down the street also features fitness space as well as a community space complete with long tables, a kitchen, and fitness workshops. Dubbed Hub Seventeen, the new Lululemon space is decked out with exercise equipment and includes changing rooms, lockers, and a bathroom. Finally, a free concierge service makes it easy to shop by giving you the ability to messenger items home, make dinner reservations, or book your spot at some of the neighborhood’s most exclusive studios. Check out these retailers and tons of other fine gyms and boutique studios in Union Square. Continue reading
