Signage was spotted for a new 10-table restaurant and retail outlet from Mi Garba, a company known throughout Europe for their freshly prepared foods. According to the New York Post, this location will be the company’s first in the country and serve as a flagship. In addition to sit-down meals, the new spot is also reported to feature grab-and-go dishes. With a new Fresh & Co moving in next door, Fourth Avenue is becoming the new neighborhood lunch spot. The Fourth, Botequim, Dos Toros, Glaze, and Liquiteria have all opened along the avenue just south of Union Square Park over the last several years. Mi Garba is reported to open sometime in April.
Our friends over at the Vineyard Theatre noticed the new signage going up on Union Square East. The new Panera is due to open this spring! Looks like we’re full steam ahead for delicious new sandwiches and bread to eat in the park.
